In Eastern Los Angeles County, the city of Diamond Bar, located at
the junction of the Pomona and Orange Freeways, is home to over 65,000
residents. Bordered by Walnut, Pomona and Rowland Heights, Diamond Bar is a
mere 27 miles from Downtown Los Angeles.
Diamond Bar, an area largely open and undeveloped until the
mid-50’s, saw a huge housing boom in the intervening years after a large area
of land was purchased by the Transamerica Corporation. Following the addition
of the Pomona Freeway in 1970, the area exploded, leading to its large
population and thriving commerce today.
Easily accessible by the 50 and 67 Freeways, Diamond Bar is also
close to the 10 and 71. Diamond Bar also is home to twelve schools and a wealth
of local employers.
